Dawson is a very chill person. He's extremely laid-back and just goes with the flow. Not a lot phases the kid. He just sort of floats through life. He does what he has to to get by, but other than that, he's not much of a fan of anything he's not remotely interested in.

Dawson's an honest fellow. He tells it like it is, and doesn't give a flying fart in space what you care. He likes what he likes, and he hates what he hates. If you doesn't like something, he's not going to pretend he does just to get someone's approval.

Although Dawson can be bluntly honest, he is still a considerate guy. If saying something is going to hurt you, he's not likely to say it. If he knows your sensitive about something, he's not going to bring it up. He's surprisingly a great peacemaker among people.

Susan and Nicholas Coleman met in college; Nicholas was a junior and Susan was a freshman. They both come from wealthy families with doctors and lawyers every-which-way you turn and the two had a seemingly endless list of things to talk about. They dated off and on for a year before making their relationship "official." Before Susan finished her junior year, the two were engaged, and upon her graduation the next May, the sweet couple was married. Both continued school as they began their life together, and two years later, they were blessed with their first son, Thomas, and two years after that, Daniel.
Dawson didn't come into the picture for another four years, eight years after his parents initial marriage and when both members of the marriage had steady jobs. Susan had to quit her job, however, when Dawson was born to take care of the child until he was old enough to be sent to the finest preschool money could pay for, just like his older brothers. Dawson spent his first four years of life as the baby of the family. He was spoiled rotten and always being taught things by his older brothers. Dawson's younger siblings were born when he was four (Bryson) and five (Riley).
Dawson grew up a very carefree child, and is still the same today. He's always been a bit of a class clown, but never in any real serious trouble. He knows where the line is and has never crossed it. Dawson carries on a healthy relationship with all members of his family. Thomas, the eldest, sometimes think Dawson is too childish and needs to grow up soon, but also knows that "boys will be boys." Daniel was the baby for his first four years of life as well, and while it was hard on him at times for the first few years Dawson was around not to be the baby anymore, he quickly bonded with him once Bryson was born. He's still four years older and has a closer relationship with Thomas, due to age, but the two are close. Bryson is the reason Dawson became an older sibling, but Dawson didn't mind one bit. While he was the same age as Daniel had been, Dawson just went with the flow and everything was good. When Rylie was born, the three eldest brothers (Daniel was still just a babe himself) became immediate protectors of the little princess, and still are today; especially Dawson as Thomas and Daniel have both gone off to college.
